Introduction

Welcome to Natural Beauty, a place where self-care begins with honesty, softness, and growth.

My journey started long before I even realized it. For years, my hair was labeled as “difficult,” “unmanageable,” and “not easy to comb.” I heard it so often that I began to believe it myself. I thought I had to straighten my hair just to take care of it properly, to be able to braid it, to make it look “good.” Every time someone said my hair was too much work, I just agreed, even though I didn’t truly understand what it meant.. all I knew was that it made me feel like something was wrong with me.

That feeling stayed with me and slowly started affecting me from the inside. I fell into a depression, and there were moments when I even began to pull out my own hair. Not because I wanted to, but because I didn’t truly love myself or my natural hair. I had never been taught that my hair.. in its natural state .. was beautiful. That I was beautiful just as I am.

But somewhere in that darkness, something shifted. I decided to start over, step by step. Not just with my hair, but with myself. I learned to listen to what my hair needed. I discovered the beauty of my curls, the strength of my texture, and the power of caring for myself with love. And as my hair grew, I grew with it. My self-love became stronger, deeper, and more real.
